Welcome to PlaaPlaaPlaa!

So you may be wondering why PlaaPlaaPlaa? What are those strange fish symbols above? What is ปลา and what does it mean? In short, this is a blog site, so surely there's going to be plenty of rambling. Unfortunately BlahBlahBlah was already taken, so I had to settle for the 'Plaa'. But there's actually more to it then just ramblings. The first fish symbol is actually a Christian symbol meaning ICTHUS - a greek acronymn which means "Jesus Christ is God's Son, the Saviour". The other strange letters you see in the last fish is actually the thai word for fish which funnily enough is pronounced "Plaa". So when you put it all together, this site is going to be my ramblings in telling people about how Jesus Christ is God's Son, the Saviour in Thailand (with plenty of good stories about food in between). Happy reading.

Skirmish!

It's been YEARS since i've played skirmish (or paintball). We've been talking about going to play it with for the past year, but we only finally managed to go play yesterday with our cell group. And can i say how much fun it was, how cheap it is to play over here (but maybe not so cheap by thai standards) and how amazed i am that i managed to get away without major bruises after battle and how it was a great day of bonding for our cell group. The last point was actually the biggest highlight. Given all that's gone on in the past few months with our group, we decided to go play a game of skirmish to encourage one of the guys who hasn't been coming to cell group to give the group another go. As he's someone who loves guns and 'warfare', he was keen to come along, which was really exciting for us. Of course after a day, well morning out on the field, there are plenty of good stories about who got who and just general craziness. Somehow i was the only one who managed to avoid serious bruising, although, after getting shot in the face, i got a good taste of what's inside a paintball, and can i just say, it's not nice!

Anyway, here are a few shots from our day out
